Huduma is a citizen initiative of SODNET – INFONET. It is a platform that enables citizens to amplify their voices in the demand for services directly to authorities and service providers.
Huduma is both a strategy and a technology tool. The technology component entails the deployment of a web and mobile-based platform that aggregates and channels concerns and observations of citizens (SMS, voice, video etc) directly to authorities for redress.

Bantu Watch

Bantu Watch is a joint initiative of civil society and (social) media activists in Zambia under leadership of SACCORD,with technical and strategy support from Hivos and SODNET Innovations (INFONET).BantuWatch has been developed based on are developed Ushahidi-based technology platform specific for elections,that allows citizens and civil society to monitor and report incidences around the electoral process in near real time.It provides channels for citizens and civil society to use mobile phone, social media and other internet-based channels to report on electoral offences such as intimidation,hate speech, vote buying, violence, tension, polling clerk bias and voting misinformation.

Uchaguzi

Uchaguzi seeks to leverage on technology tools, especially web and SMS as the main channels for amplifying citizen’s concerns to authorities. Uchaguzi will provide a feedback space (dashboards) that aggregate concerns in a manner that enables authorities (Security, Electoral Commission) to easily understand and make timely responses. Citizen action and response from authorities will be widely publicized through print and electronic media in partnership with media houses.
